Make an impact: support projects that matter throughout the community and our city
The HYPE Foundation supports the Boys Camp program that yearly provides for boys ages 8 – 14 the opportunity to experience camping. The camp focus is on enhancing a camper’s self-esteem, confidence, and ability to interact with others by providing its participants with a wide variety of experiences through its team-building activities and adventures.
The Purple and Gold Mentoring Program (PGMP) is a culturally grounded initiative designed to inspire and equip participants as they pursue academic success and personal growth. Through Intentional engagement with cultural values and dynamics, participants develop essential skills that prepare them to lead with purpose and serve as positive role models in their communities. PGMP empowers young people with the confidence, resilience, and social tools needed to navigate distractions and overcome barriers on their journey toward excellence—both in the classroom and in life.
The Contest is open to all college-bound high school seniors who submit an essay application.
The essay must be original and neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length. The type-written, double-spaced essay may be submitted via postal service or email in Microsoft Word.
The HYPE Foundation recognized the importance of intellect in all matters pertaining to the advancement of humankind. As such, they made scholarship the foundation of our mission. Scholarship is no side issue – it is an integral and deep-rooted component of this foundation.
Annually, we give scholarships of $1000 – $2000 to high school seniors who are college bound.
It is no secret that STEM education is critical in helping the United States maintain a presence in the global stage of technology. STEM education in our schools is essential to spark an interest in pursuing a STEM career for our youth.
The HYPE Foundation is honored to engage in STEM initiatives that are designed to get students excited about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). A STEM program will help students assemble the skills that are needed to prepare for jobs in coding, robotics, electronics, technology, energy, and engineering. We will partner with the local school system and colleges in order to introduce secondary education students to STEM and STEM careers.
Talent Hunt provides exposure, encouragement, and financial assistance to talented high school students in grades 9 through 12. Students compete for scholarships and the opportunity to showcase their talent to a distinguished group of judges.
Winners are given a monetary reward ranging from $100 – $300 (1st – 3rd place).
